Los Blancos' Trent Alexander-Arnold May Face His Former Club in November's Champions League Clash

The Spanish giants acquired Trent Alexander-Arnold on a six-year deal

The defender's recovery is moving forward well, giving a chance that the Madrid right-back could return in time to confront his old club Liverpool in the upcoming Champions League tie.

The English player experienced a muscle strain while playing against French side Marseille in the initial phase of the tournament on 16 September.

Alexander-Arnold exited the pitch in the fifth minute, with early reports indicating a possible absence of around six weeks.

Real Madrid are set to visit Liverpool on 4 November for the Champions League match—just seven weeks since the injury happened.

Reports close to the situation suggest that the defender's comeback is moving along positively, and there is optimism that Alexander-Arnold may make his initial appearance to Anfield since signing for Los Blancos in June.

A lifelong Liverpool fan, Alexander-Arnold previously said that departing from the team he entered as a six-year-old academy talent was the "toughest choice he has ever taken."

During his time with the Reds, Alexander-Arnold made over 350 games, contributing to win multiple English top-flight championships, a Champions League, and the domestic cup.

Since moving to the Spanish capital, Alexander-Arnold has featured on five occasions across all competitions, logging 156 minutes of action.
